Searches for a WPA health discount tend to come from someone who already has WPA on a shortlist and wants to know whether there is money off before asking for a price. The plain answer: whether WPA has a discount, a discount code, gym membership or any member offer at the time you buy is something to confirm with WPA or see on a quote. So this page names no WPA offer, and it does not claim WPA has none either.

The choice behind the search is whether a WPA policy, configured to your own choices, earns a place beside other insurers' quotes. An FCA-authorised broker prices that configuration with the insurers it reaches; you are put in touch with one by the form on this page, free. What follows is short: where any WPA offer would be written, what in WPA's own summary genuinely changes the figure, and what to ask.

WPA health insurance discount: what the Complete Health summary does and does not say

The WPA document behind this page is the Insurance Product Information Document, or IPID, that WPA publishes for Complete Health. It carries a November 2025 date, came from WPA's own site, and was read on 4 September 2026. A document of that kind is the brief summary a regulated policy has to come with; the binding detail is in WPA's longer policy guide, and the broker can take you through what that guide says about your quote, free, on the call-back. The summary covers therapy levels, the out-patient cap, the mental health and cancer care options, emergency treatment abroad, the choice of hospitals, the excess and Shared Responsibility, a cash sum for treatment on the NHS, and the first fourteen days of cover: the parts of a WPA policy that decide what a claim pays.

A regulatory summary is not necessarily where an insurer would print a member offer even if it ran one. Whether WPA has a discount for some group of buyers, a code or a gym arrangement depends on what WPA is offering when you buy, so ask before counting on one, or ruling one out.

Three settings in WPA's wording that usually move the price

The summary carries no prices, but it does describe choices left to the buyer, and three of them decide how much of a claim stays with you, or where you can be treated. Each usually moves the premium as well. How far depends on your age, postcode and the rest of the cover, so it only shows when the same quote is priced with and without each setting.

SettingWhat the WPA summary saysUsually costs less when
ExcessPaid towards eligible treatment up to the level you chose, counted per policy year, before WPA provides benefit (page 2)The level is set higher
Shared ResponsibilityNamed in the same passage as the excess: where it has been selected, the member must "pay 25% of claims for eligible treatment up to your chosen level of Shared Responsibility" (page 2)It is selected: a share of claims then stays with you, and, as with an excess, that tends to lower the premium
HospitalsA standard choice which Premium Hospitals extends, the added places being "primarily based in Central London" (page 1)Premium Hospitals is left off

— All three from WPA, Complete Health Insurance Product Information Document (November 2025), read 4 September 2026.

The full wording sits on other pages, so it is not repeated here. The excess clause appears beside Aviva's, Bupa's and Freedom's versions in how much excess to choose; the Shared Responsibility sentence, and what its percentage means for your worst case, is worked through on WPA health insurance: what it costs; and the hospital clause is set against other insurers' lists in our guide to hospital lists.

This is also why one WPA quote can come in under another without a discount anywhere: a setting has been moved. If you are shown a reduced WPA figure, find out which you are looking at, a price cut or a dial turned, and ask for the same cover with the dial put back. A broker can set those versions out together, with other insurers priced on matching settings, and the request is free and quick to make.

If a WPA offer is put in front of you

Should a discount or perk turn up on a WPA quote, or in WPA's own material, three checks in this order keep it at its proper size.

  1. Sort it by what it comes off. Money off the WPA premium ought to appear on the quote or in the policy documents, and then the questions are how long it lasts and whether a claim or a renewal ends it. WPA's Complete Health brochure (effective 1 October 2026) says each person's No Claims Discount "has a direct impact on your premiums", and what moves a WPA renewal covers the rest; whether a particular offer survives a renewal is for WPA to confirm. Money off something else, a gym, a device, a health check, leaves the premium where it was, is worth only what you would have spent anyway, and pays nothing towards treatment.
  2. Measure it against a setting. Once you know what leaving off Premium Hospitals, or moving the excess up a level, does to the WPA figure, an offer can be read against a sum in pounds rather than a headline. An offer smaller than one of those steps is a weak reason to pick WPA or to rule it out.
  3. Choose the levels as though no offer existed. Your excess or Shared Responsibility level, whether Premium Hospitals is on, the £250 standard cap on specialist consultations (page 1 of the same summary) and the therapy level are what a claim actually meets. An offer meets none of them.

What to ask about a WPA quote and any reduction on it

  • "Has any discount been applied to this WPA quote? If so, what is it called, and where in my policy documents is it written?"
  • "Is this figure priced with an excess, with Shared Responsibility, or with neither, and at what level?"
  • "Does the Shared Responsibility level run per policy year, as the summary says the excess does, or does it apply to each claim?"
  • "Is Premium Hospitals part of this quote, and which hospitals I could reach easily would still be covered without it?"
  • "Does the Complete Health policy guide describe any member benefits, a gym or wellbeing offer for instance, and can I read that section before I buy?"

The last question carries the weight for this page: the full policy guide, or any separate terms WPA publishes for an offer, is where a member benefit would be written down.

WPA discounts, codes and gyms in brief

Does WPA offer a discount?

What WPA is offering when you buy decides this, and a discount you qualify for ought to appear on the quote; the broker ringing you back can put the question to WPA for you without charge. Anyone asking because they work for themselves will find that case handled in our page for self-employed buyers.

Is there a WPA discount code?

A code lifted from a voucher site binds nobody. A code that is worth anything should change the figure on a quote from WPA or a broker, and a code that never shows up on a WPA quote has not been honoured by anyone.

Does WPA health insurance include gym membership or a gym discount?

Whether a WPA policy comes with a gym rate depends on what WPA offers at the time. Its product summary deals with treatment limits, hospitals, cost-sharing and cash sums; if a gym arrangement exists, the policy guide, or any separate terms WPA publishes for it, is where it would be written, so ask to see it there before counting it.

How else can a WPA quote be brought down?

Through the settings above, and through the options you leave off. WPA health insurance: what it costs goes through each choice in the summary that moves the figure, while our guide to the types of policy sets out why a cheaper policy is usually a different policy rather than a discounted one.

One request settles more than any search for a code: a WPA quote with every setting written out and any discount itemised separately, with a rival insurer priced on identical settings beside it. Make that request through this page's quote form. Expect the FCA-authorised broker behind it to tell you first whether WPA is among the insurers it quotes, then to price the request with the ones it does.
